There is a lot to be excited about on Sei as we enter a new era of breakthrough EVM innovation at both the protocol and ecosystem layers:

Protocol: With the upcoming Sei Giga upgrade, a comprehensive overhaul of the Sei protocol's execution, consensus, and storage layers that will deliver an unprecedented 5 gigagas per second throughput (~250k TPS) and unlock the most performant iteration of the EVM to date.

Applications like Symphony (Dex Ag), Filament (Perps), AIDEN (AI Agents), Picasso Markets (Stock Predictions), and Overherd (SocialFi) are already pushing boundaries on what's possible with today's conchain infrastructure across the DeFi, AI and Consumer verticals.

As we continue to build a hyperscaled Layer-1, our core mission is simple but ambitious: empower generational founders to build world-scale onchain applications. Replit for building DeFi app: Allow users to generate a prompt for a DeFi app they would like to create, and AI creates the smart contracts, frontend, tokenomics, marketing content and brand
Cross-chain trading applications that settle on Sei while abstracting complexity from users
Perps DEX for Real World Assets such as indices, commodities, and forex
Token launchpad allowing for no-code creation & deployment of new tokens into the Sei ecosystem
Novel financial primitives that bring “Wall-Street scale” unlocks to decentralized applications

2. AI + Agents

Financial infrastructure for Agent-to-Agent (A2A) transactions
Advancing onchain and multi-modal offchain plugins making AI agents more capable and "intelligent" co-operators on Sei
Multi-agent orchestration tools enabling autonomous collaboration between agents
Decentralized inference products to allow Agents to natively supplement their own operating costs fully onchain
Market Maker Agents utilizing Filament’s API docs to become active DeFi operators
Additional RFAs (Request for Agents) from AIDEN - Sei’s native agent integration & deployment engine

3. Payments & Tokenization

Stablecoin-based payment applications leveraging Sei's high speed, fast finality, and near-zero fees.
Tokenization platforms for real-world assets (RWAs)

4. Onchain Culture (Consumer)

Next-generation SocialFi apps that can cross the chasm to mainstream adoption by abstracting blockchain UX
User-generated markets where creators become the house (supply side)
Verticalized prediction markets built around longer tail, and more niche markets
Institutional-grade prediction market infra built for a future where major wall street firms have dedicated Event Trading desks
Mobile first applications focused on the gamification of social behavior & culture that showcase seamless, abstracted, web2-esque onboarding UX

5. DeSci (Open Science)

Canonical human data layer for DeSci — onchain, encrypted, and composable human health & wellness data while earning incentives via demand side utilization (clinical trials, biotechs, CROs, other composable applications, etc..)
